Greetings!
As mentioned last year, Tom Collopy has stepped back from the main role of League Director. He will still be involved with the NDDB league as the league treasurer. Cheri Romanowich, will be taking over the role of League Director with Tom’s oversite.
Key dates for the upcoming Basketball season are listed below. Please be sure to read this completely as information has changed. Also, the Team Entry Form and Gym Availability Forms are attached to this email. These forms are also available for download on the NDDBBB.org website. Similar to last year, with the additional 4th grade division for both girls and boys, we will need more gym time, so we are asking you to be generous with your gym availability to accommodate those extra teams.
The team entry fee will be $500.00 per team this 2026/2027 season. Your team(s) entry fees must be paid before the season starts. If not received by November 30th that team or teams will not be allowed to play, and you will be charged a forfeit fee for each team.
Here are important dates for the upcoming season:
· October 7th – Gym Availability form is due back to Gary Romanowich. No pictures will be accepted; you will need to send them as a PDF or the excel file.
· October 26th – Team Entry form is due back to Gary Romanowich (gromanowich@gmail.com) with copy sent to (cheriromanowich@gmail.com). Please send the completed form as PDF or EXCEL files. No pictures will be accepted.
· November 8th – Kick off meeting for Coaches and AD’s will be at St. Mary’s Visitation EG Senior Center at 1pm. It is important for 7th & 8th grade coaches to attend this meeting to make sure their team is placed in the proper "A" or "B" division. It is common for a few teams to be placed in a division other than the one designated on the Team Entry form at this meeting for various reasons.
· November 30th – All Rosters and Team entry fees are due by this date. If your rosters and payment are not received and in our hands your team(s) will not be allowed to play, and you will be charged a forfeit fee for each team.
· December 5th – Season begins
· December 26th & January 2 – Holiday Break, No Games
Scheduling process will start immediately after the league kick off meeting on November 8th..

4th grade rules division rules are amended as follows starting with games on January 10, 2026:
Man to man backcourt pressure is allowed in the last 60 seconds of any game or OT period in which the lead is 15 points or less. But the press has to be man to man, any sort of multiple player traps on one player are not allowed.
